Doç. Dr. Gülfem Başol, kadın hastalıkları ve doğum alanında klinik, cerrahi ve akademik çalışmaları bir arada yürüten, deneyimli bir hekimdir. Tıp eğitimini Kocaeli Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi’nde, uzmanlık eğitimini Sakarya Üniversitesi Kadın Hastalıkları ve Doğum Anabilim Dalı’nda tamamlamıştır.

•  Menopoz başta olmak üzere kadın sağlığının geniş bir alanında hasta takibi yapmaktadır. Minimal invaziv cerrahi (laparoskopi ve histeroskopi) uygulamaları konusunda ileri düzey deneyime sahiptir.

Akademik alanda da aktif olarak yer alan Doç. Dr. Gülfem Başol’un;

• SCI ve SCI-Expanded kapsamındaki dergiler dâhil olmak üzere uluslararası indeksli dergilerde yayımlanmış 20’nin üzerinde bilimsel makalesi,
• Ulusal ve uluslararası kitaplarda yer alan kitap bölümleri,
• Ulusal ve uluslararası kongrelerde sunulmuş çok sayıda sözlü ve poster bildirisi bulunmaktadır.

Bilimsel çalışmaları ağırlıklı olarak endometriozis, pelvik ağrı sendromları, minimal invaziv jinekolojik cerrahi, HPV ve servikal patolojiler, menopoz ve sağlıklı yaş alma konularına odaklanmaktadır.

Meslek yaşamı boyunca çeşitli ulusal ve uluslararası bilimsel toplantılarda konuşmacı olarak yer almış; kadın sağlığı alanında güncel bilimsel bilgilerin paylaşılmasına katkı sağlamıştır. Ayrıca ilgili mesleki derneklerin üyesi olup bilimsel ve eğitsel faaliyetlere aktif olarak katılmaktadır.
